The opportunity to visit Ben-Gurion University through the Halutz Global Leaders Cohort program was an eye-opening experience, revealing the university as a hidden gem in the world of technology. During my week there, I explored an impressive array of world-class innovations, from cutting-edge cybersecurity advancements to groundbreaking biomedical engineering and life-saving medical technology. This visit epitomized why Ben-Gurion University is a leading institution.

The professors are deeply invested in their students, offering guidance and support that is rare in tertiary education. The university itself boasts incredible facilities, including a sports complex that is the envy of many. And this environment truly reflects Ben-Gurion's vision for the growth and development of the Negev.

I am honoured to have had this uplifting experience and to serve as an ambassador for this exceptional institution. I only wish I could be 18 again so I could attend the university myself!

The amount of effort put in by the leadership team was deeply felt and appreciated.

A significant outcome of my time at BGU was the opportunity to connect with the professors heading the MA program in African studies. This invaluable connection enabled the SAICC to secure enough funds to sponsor a South African student to study at BGU, marking a tremendous success. The professors are highly dedicated to their students, providing exceptional guidance and support that is uncommon in higher education. BGU’s enriching environment truly embodies the university's vision for the growth and development of the Negev.
